Pizza is one of the most popular foods because there are such a variety of toppings. Of course the traditional pizza toppings such as pepperoni, sausage and cheese are very common. Which means it can get kind of boring. But there is also other ingredients that could make your pizza more festive. Here are some of the most creative pizza toppings.

Kale

Everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Oprah is raving about the health benefits of Kale. Kale is a leafy green that can add a powerful punch of fiber to your favorite dishes. Kale is fiber rich and full of protein. It is filling and there are many ways to enjoy it. Kale chips on pizza can make a great treat. Take kale and put it in the over, sprinkle olive oil, salt pepper and some Cajun pepper on to the fresh green leafs. Stick it into the oven for 10 min then put the crispy kale on your pizza slices. Instant yum.

Mango

Mango is often called the king of fruit, notable for its powerful health benefits. Mango on your pizza is a great new twist. Mango can help fight cancer, clear your skin and help lower cholesterol. Putting it on a pizza in the summertime is a wonderful appetizer for parties and get together.

Milk Chocolate and Peppers

When you think of pizza, most people don't think about chocolate, but putting something sweet on your dough can help your taste buds enjoy something classic. Drizzle chocolate and even Cajun pepper will make a great dessert.

Eggs

In some cultures people will make a breakfast pizza and put eggs and even bacon on the pizza. You can try this at home, make scrabbled eggs or sunny side up ad lay the protein power houses on top of the pizza crust. The bacon can be sliced into bits or layed in strips on top. This is a great brunch item for father’s day or a special event.

Cream

In the sprit of dessert pizza, adding some sweet whip cream to the top of your pizza will be a happy new twist. You can put fresh strawberries and whop cream on top of a cinnamon buttered crust. This makes a great dessert for parties and birthdays. Kids will love the fun take on a tradition dish.

Rice

Adding rice, quinoa or grains on top of your pizza may sound funky but it can be tasty with the right ingredients. Put the rice with soy sauce and shrimp and you have a Japanese inspired pizza pie.

Marshmallows

You don't have to go back to kids camp to pull out the s'mores. Putting marshmallows, gram crackers and chocolate on your pizza can bring back tasty memories. This is a great dessert that will make the entire family smile.

Pizza is a great food to eat anytime of they year. No matter what time of day, you can enjoy this great food. Whether you are throwing a party and want to entertain your guests or you are looking for creative ideas for the family dinner, these fun new toppings can add more fun to your favorite dish.
