Staying fit seems to be one of the most difficult activities that we, now have to contend with, but the interesting thing is that, of all human history, there has never been a better age for those that wanted to stay fit. That is because being fit means doing a lot of extremely focused exercise but doing it in such a way that it is fun.

And before this age, whether you were a king or the poorest person, you would have to work so hard, fighting, dueling, working the land, riding horses to get from one place to another, that you simply did not have the energy to do any sports. But today we sit so much on a chair that actually doing any kind of exercise will seem fine and here are 5 fitness steps that you can integrate into your daily life.

  1. Ride Your Bike

  2. If you don’t have a bike go and buy one because riding your bike to work every morning will dramatically change your day. The body is still half asleep in the morning and that is why we drink as much coffee as we do but if you were to start riding your bike your body would completely wake up in the first 5 minutes and you will not need a cup of coffee until late in the afternoon.

  3. As the Sun Sets Go for a Swim

  4. A swim is a great way to finish your work day because it will relax you deeply but still it will not drain you. So if you want to go to sleep afterwards than you can pick up a good book and just slowly drift but if you want to go out, which is the better choice, than you can easily take a slightly colder shower and just feel refreshed and ready to go.

  5. Do a Short Burst of Exercise Every Hour!

  6. Many studies have proven that just an hour of exercise a day will do wonders for your health but it won’t help you lose weight. If you want to lose weight you need to keep your body active, your energies racing every second of the day. So make a point to drop down and do 5 pushups or 5 sit-ups ever hour and that alone will get your energies to flow.

  7. Go Out Dancing

  8. And after you’ve had a nice swim nothing is better than to step out and go to a club to do a little bit of dancing. Make sure that you don’t stay out too late because a good night’s sleep is essential for a healthy life, but do go out and dance. There is no better way to lose weight than to dance because it works every muscle in your body and you are not even aware of it.

  9. Forget the Very Notion of Elevators

  10. We did start by saying that this is a wonderful age to leave in but there is something wrong with it: we have elevators. And the next time you think that climbing 10 flights of stairs is too much just remember that King Henry the 8th himself had to climb even more when he wanted to visit the towers of his castles.
