Ditch the work out and weighing scale – you deserve a food binge every once in a while!
1. Mac and Cheese
Don’t even get me started on this. Mac and cheese is the king of Pastas. Yep, forget about those pesto-laced spaghetti noodles. Mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort pasta.
2. Spaghetti and Meatballs
If there’s an ultimate pasta dish, then there must be penultimate one, right? Spaghetti and meat balls is something you usually whip up for a family dinner. I’ll have it anytime of the day.
3. Quarter Pounder
What’s not to love about a Quarter Pounder?
4. Sloppy Joes
If you have access to an unlimited supply of sloppy joes, you probably won’t eat anything else. Just make sure your local burger joint has a food handlers license or you’ll run the risk of having a tummy ache.
5. Pizza
Whether you’re watching a football game or ordering it for lunch at the office, having a slice or two of this junk food is just too hard to pass up.
6. Pie
Shepherd’s pie, apple pie, pie anything! Pies were probably the most important legacy the British had left America.
7. Doughnuts
Doughnuts are more than just breakfast food. It makes you all happy inside.
8. Frozen Lasagna
Now frozen lasagna got me all confused. As you’ve read earlier, I hailed mac and cheese as my ultimate pasta dish. It’s just hard to choose which one is better between the two. I say it’s a tie.
9. Cream-based soup
Because soups with fresh cream just have character. Enough said.
10. Grilled cheese sandwich
What’s also fascinating about the grilled cheese sandwich is the ritual involved in cooking it.
11. Chili
A cook-off favorite, the chili is perhaps one of the most popular comfort foods and is probably never last picked for lists like these.
12. Burrito
Nothing completes a whole night of drinking than a breakfast burrito.
13. Shawarma
The Middle-Eastern counterpart of the burrito. I don’t care if my breath smells repulsive after eating a shawarma. I’d brush my teeth with toothpaste made from this.
14. Mashed Potatoes
Give me all that butter love.
15. French Fries
Warm, salty and a little bit burnt to a crisp. That’s my meaning of perfection.
16. Ice Cream
Put it on a cone, a brownie, a slice of banana. Ice creams tastes good no matter what.
17. Potato Crisps
Once you pop, you can’t stop.
18. Nachos
Drizzle some cheese over nachos and you’ll never have enough it.
19. Pancakes
Pancakes are my favorite go-to breakfast food, especially during the weekends. Glaze it with some syrup and berries and I’m in pancake bliss.
20. Fried Chicken
The thicker the layer of breading, the better.
21. Cake
Let them eat cake—or some of it. The biggest slice is my birth right.
22. Cupcake
Because miniature food is interesting. And flavorful!
23. Milkshake
Remember the Pulp Fiction scene where Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman’s character) ordered a five-dollar milkshake and Vincent Vega (John Travolta’s character) asked whether it has bourbon or anything for the price? I’d shell out five bucks for one—no questions asked.
24. Pizookie
A cookie that’s the size of a pizza? Must be a dream come true.
25. Steak with gravy
Tender steak smothered in thick, creamy gravy? Yes, please.
26. Pork Chops
I’ll trade someone I love for pork chops served with apple sauce.
27. Fondue
Fondue is the stuff of grown-up dinner parties but it’s nice to enjoy it in a cold quiet night, every once in a while. Pair it with bits of bread, nuts and a dry, full-bodied wine.
28. Pudding
A pudding is a perfect ending to any meal. Another British pride.
29. Meatloaf
Ah, meatloaf. You sinfully delicious, meaty bastard.
30. Chocolate
Last but definitely not the least: chocolate. Need I say more?
